The “Heart of Scottsdale”

“The Heart of Scottsdale” is an area in North Scottsdale that is very popular to live in for both year-round residents and winter visitors alike. You’ll find an extensive array of communities and a wide variety of homes, condominiums and townhomes in all price ranges.

Geographically, this area commences from Indian Bend on the South up to Bell/Frank Lloyd Wright on the North. It extends from 56th Street on the west to Fountain Hills at the extreme east end.

What people like about this area is its proximity to everything that is Scottsdale and beyond. Do you need to commute? Access to and from state routes #101 and #51 are nearby. Is golf your game? You are within minutes of dozens of Scottsdale’s finest golf courses. Perhaps shopping is your sport of choice? Then check out dozens of awesome shopping spots, such as Kierland Commons, an extremely popular dining area on the Phoenix side of Scottsdale Road, is just a few minutes away.

Many schools that are the first choice for parents are found here. Two excellent school districts, the Scottsdale School District, and the Paradise Valley School District should both be checked out. Also, numerous private and charter schools are located in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale Airpark Communities

If convenience and affordability are important to you then take a look at the Scottsdale Airpark communities. These communities are located within minutes of the 101 Pima Freeway, shopping, dining, work, schools and recreational activities.

In these times when commuting is not just long and tiring, but also costly with the price of gas, residents enjoy saving both time and money

The Scottsdale Airpark is one of the Valley’s largest employment sectors. Almost 50,000 people are employed in an area that surrounds the City of Scottsdale’s Municipal Airport. It is projected that the Scottsdale Airpark will become the Valley’s leading employment area by 2010.

What is especially nice about the Airpark communities from a day to day living aspect is its affordability. Condominiums start in the $150,000 range while single family homes are priced from $330,000 and up.

Wonderfully diverse communities make up the neighborhoods within the Airpark. On the one hand you have the “Cactus Corridor” which is an equestrian section from the 101 Freeway east along Cactus to Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. With an abundance of large lots, (many equestrian friendly), this area is being preserved by the City of Scottsdale to keep its equine flavor. Beautiful homes in a more rural setting can be found in these parts.

Some of Scottsdale’s neighborhood charmers are found here as well. Communities such as Buenavante and Rancho San Carlos, Sweetwater Ranch, Mountainview Ranch and Powderhorn Ranch, along with Sunrise Estates and Stoneridge Estates are located here. For golfers, there’s the Scottsdale Country club, a planned unit development surrounding lush Starfire Golf Course.

Newer (1990′s) communities located east of The Pima Freeway (#101) and north of Cactus Rd are located within minutes of the Airpark, freeway access and almost everything else. Single family home prices in these neighborhoods run from the $400,000 range and up.

The Shea Corridor

The Ranches
