Scottsdale Unified School District
"Arizona's Most Excelling School District"


Scottsdale Unified School District is Arizona’s most Excelling school district, with 21 schools earning the state’s highest rating, "Excelling".  All Scottsdale schools are rated as Performing, Performing Plus, Highly Performing or Excelling by the Arizona Department of Education.

The Scottsdale Unified School District has 33 schools serving about 27,000 students.  More than 3,000 persons are employed by the district, including about 1,700 teachers.  The district celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1996.  Its boundaries include most, but not all of the city of Scottsdale, almost all of the town of Paradise Valley, a section of the city of Phoenix, and a section of the city of Tempe.

Chaparral Student

5/18/2006 - USA TODAY named 20 students to its 20th annual All-USA High School Academic First Team. The students will each receive a trophy and $2,500 cash award. Albert Shieh, a senior at Chaparral High School, was the only student in Arizona to be named.

Open Enrollment in Scottsdale

If you’re looking to enroll your child in some of the best schools in the state of Arizona, you have come to the right place.  The Scottsdale Unified School District is home to more schools that have earned the state’s top rating –Excelling – than any other district in this great state.

Most of the 33 schools have openings.  You can enroll your child by simply calling the office of the school you prefer.  You can find information on each school at the following website link.

School Tax Credit

Arizona law allows taxpayers to receive a tax credit of up to $200 for individual filers and up to $400 for married filers.
